My husband was just one of the many persons involved in the Civil <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Rights Movement his entire life and I continue his legacy. I was secretary and <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">friend to Dr. Benjamin E. Mays, President Emeritus of Morehouse College and <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">President of the Atlanta Board of Education until a couple of years before his <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">death in 1984. I only had the privilege to work for him from the summer of 1980 <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">until his death in 1984 but the knowledge and experience I was granted was <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">extraordinary, along with my long marriage to Clint. I have lived in the same <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">wonderful home for 50 years. I lost my best friend last August and she was your <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">classmate also. Julie Cobb Pettit Weaver and I (after becoming widows) took <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">our fancy selves to Budapest, Hungary, and bought a home. From 2013 until <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">2018, we had a wonderful life being world travelers!! I miss my friend. I have <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">been a truly blessed and fortunate person all of my life. My health is good and I <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">am no longer &#8220;skinny&#8221; and not quite as tall as in 1965. And the color of my hair <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">is truly white!! But I am healthy and wondering how in this world did I turn 75 <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">years old???
